With the U.S. Bank Cash+^® Visa cash back credit card, you can earn 5% cash back on your first $2,000 in eligible net purchases each quarter on the combined two categories you choose.

Examples of categories you choose: fast food, home utilities, tv, internet and streaming, department stores, cell phone providers, electronic stores, sporting goods stores, movie theaters, gyms/fitness centers, furniture stores, ground transportation, and select clothing stores.

That’s a lot of options, isn’t it? But 5% cash back on two categories of your choice isn’t all this card offers.

You will also earn 2% cash back on your choice of one everyday category (gas stations and EV charging stations, restaurants or grocery stores), and 1% cash back on all other eligible net purchases.

By the way, if you don’t choose your Cash+ categories each quarter, all your eligible net purchases will still earn 1% cash back.

And don’t worry about redeeming your accumulated cash back balance. It’s a pretty simple process.

What would be one of the drawbacks of the U.S. Bank Cash+® Visa Signature® Card?

The 5% cash back is a great perk, however, the limit — $2,000 in combined purchases in chosen categories each quarter — can be a bit frustrating for the most spendthrift customers.

Another negative aspect of this card that can be mentioned is its 3 percent foreign transaction fee (2 percent if the transaction abroad is in U.S. dollars).
